European Parliamentary Elections

The House of Lords is due to consider today secondary legislation relating to the European Parliamentary Elections, which take place on June 4th in the UK.

The three motions are -

European Parliamentary Elections (Amendment) Regulations 2009 Lord Bach to move that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 24 November 2008 be approved.

It's a document worth reading if you enjoy the minutae of the rules governing the conduct of elections.

European Parliament (Disqualification) (United Kingdom and Gibraltar) Order 2009 Lord Bach to move that the draft Order laid before the House on 26 November 2008 be approved.


European Parliamentary Elections (Loans and Related Transactions and Miscellaneous Provisions) (United Kingdom and Gibraltar) Order 2009 Lord Bach to move that the draft Order laid before the House on 13 January be approved.
